Graduation thoughts...

When I graduate, I will have all my classmates and instructors to thank, because I couldn't have done this on my own! Thank you in advance to all of my classmates and present and former instructors.

What I learned about Windows Movie Maker

At first, I had trouble loading my song on my PC. So I searched one of the help websites. I found out that there is not a step-by-step guide for audio problems, but it mentioned that not enough RAM or hard drive may be a problem. After reading that, I decided to try by laptop...and it worked. Now, I had to figure out what pictures to use. I searched the internet for those and saved them to my key drive. (I should have saved them to my hard drive, because I had problems finding them in my movie later.) I finished my movie and I am excited about what a good tool this is for the classroom and...
Last but not least, I learned that 2 1/2 minutes is a long time!!!!!!

Wisdom from an almost 39-year-old woman

Life is about learning the right questions to ask. A person must have some kind of knowledge about a subject in order to ask a question about it. So...saying "do you have any questions?" may not be the best way to check for understanding. You may say, "is there anyone that doesn't have a clue, but isn't able to ask a particular question?" It may be scary how many hands go up!

Picking vegetables

Anyone need any squash? I was dying to get the first one, now... I've got it coming out of my ears! I'm also getting a few cucumbers. But...I'm still waiting on those home grown tomatoes. I wish that we had planted some purple hull peas! Maybe I can buy some... Have a great weekend! Tomorrow, we are going to my niece's house for a birthday pool party for Emily and Madison. Emily will be 6 and Madison will be 2. Cody has been counting the days. Yesterday, I told him, "two more days." He said, "mama, two days is a long time!" Well, I guess it is when you're five!

Another day on Cody's farm!

(Cody's my five-year-old son.) My alarm went off at 5 am. I got up and fixed Floyd's (my husband) lunch. I went out to the barn to feed the three-week-old baby chicks. (I didn't find any dead ones!) I have about 180 baby chicks! I also feed the two pigs, 14 goats, two turkeys, two ducks, one heifer calf, and 33 big chickens!! Two of my hens are sitting, so I hope to have more baby chicks soon! Any animal advice would be welcome!
