Another day on Cody's farm!

(Cody's my five-year-old son.) My alarm went off at 5 am. I got up and fixed Floyd's (my husband) lunch. I went out to the barn to feed the three-week-old baby chicks. (I didn't find any dead ones!) I have about 180 baby chicks! I also feed the two pigs, 14 goats, two turkeys, two ducks, one heifer calf, and 33 big chickens!! Two of my hens are sitting, so I hope to have more baby chicks soon! Any animal advice would be welcome!

Havn't you ever heard of child labor? Make that 5 year old do all the work. He has the right costume for it!!!

LOL! He does it when he feels like it! (Which isn't very often!)By the way, Superman isn't a farmer! LOL!

What if...we could convince our five yr. olds that Superman WAS a farmer (in your case) or a housekeeper (in mine)??

Just teasing...and just reading that blog made me tired. Have fun with all the rewards of that hard labor though.

Wow....I tease my husband about our little "farm"....but mine doesn't even compare to what you have.....lol
Teach your little one at a young age how rewarding it is to feed all of those animals.....cause when they get older.....not so much fun as it is a major chore.....lol

Tell me about it! Do you think they would believe us? Yes, honey, Superman was a farmer and he also helped his mom keep the house clean (and the Magnetics in the case...)
My son has been helping out with the animals, but I have to constantly remind him to feed the fish that he just had to have. (I may be giving away some fish!)
By the way, does anyone want some baby chickens. They are the broiler type and are fattening up very quickly. (I'm totally serious!)

If your spending all your time feeding the animals when are you getting all these assignments done...(LOL):)

Yes, I definitely have too much to do, but thankfully my husband helps me out with some of the animals and we have most of them in the pasture, so they can graze. Tiffany, you said a mouthful about chores and homework! My baby chicks haven't been getting the same care lately as they did before this class!
Isn't there anyone that wants to buy some baby chicks? i have about 170!

Instead of Old McDonald's farm, I think it's Ole' Debbie's farm! Notice I didn't say 'old'! Since I have a few years on you, I can't call you old! LOL :)
