Picking vegetables
Anyone need any squash? I was dying to get the first one, now... I've got it coming out of my ears! I'm also getting a few cucumbers. But...I'm still waiting on those home grown tomatoes. I wish that we had planted some purple hull peas! Maybe I can buy some... Have a great weekend! Tomorrow, we are going to my niece's house for a birthday pool party for Emily and Madison. Emily will be 6 and Madison will be 2. Cody has been counting the days. Yesterday, I told him, "two more days." He said, "mama, two days is a long time!" Well, I guess it is when you're five!

I would love to have some squash. Do you know anyone who will have greenbeans to sell? Saturday I cut 160 ear of corn off of the cob to put into the freezer.
I'll bring some squash when we go back to class next time. I know I'll have plenty. I don't know about green beans. I'd love to have some, too. I love them cooked with new potatoes and bacon. Mmm! Mmm! I love corn on the cob, too. (Guess I'm hungry...)
You know Debbie, our tomato plants aren't producing very good either! We have lots of green ones but they aren't turning red! Maybe your little guy will learn to LOVE squash like mine and then you'll be fixing it for him as fast as you can. Brooks will eat it any way you fix it and he takes it for his lunch everyday!!
We got out things planted late and are still waiting. Diana, where did you get the corn? I would love to have some to put up.
I love squash!!! I didn't know you had a green thumb. By the way, your son is precious!
I wanted a garden this summer, but my husband didn't get around to planting it. Aren't home-grown veggies the best???
No squash for me. Yuck. I have tried to eat it, and it is too mushy. Our garden is just beginning to produce tomatoes. we also are just now getting cucumbers and our peas are blooming everywhere. It seems a little late doesn't it? or is it just me?
Thanks, Anna! He's our little man. We started him in Taekwondo classes this summer.
We had a late garden, too. Our ground was wet for so long. We kept waiting. Now, we're staring down our green tomatoes, too.
My son hates squash, but he's going through a picky stage eating only some form of chicken, mac and cheese, and choco rice crispies cereal! My husband and I love squash, but we're making more than we can eat.
Your people are making me so hungry!!! I wish I was in Cleveland and I would sure get some of your squash. My wife is the squash caserole queen!
Ummm, squash! I love squash. I planted some tomato plants and they have grown into tomato trees. I am not sure what happened, but so far no tomatoes. Only leaves and a very long vine/stalk/trunk.
stir fried squash with zucchini and onions...yum
I'm still waiting on my tomatoes--I have grape but not big ones. How did the party go?
Do any of you have okra yet? I've been waiting on my mom's okra for months!!!
833801The party when well. Emily told her mom, "this is the best party ever!" That made it all worth it! I'll bring squash next week! I hope we don't have a riot!! Preston, you may come to Cleveland and get some squash any time! I just picked some and a few cucumbers! But still no ripe tomatoes!!
Sorry no okra yet!
I will take some squash. I know about counting down the days. How many more days until our assignments are due? 3 1/2!!!
great..that is a good way to get people to comment...give something away. Ha, ha. I would love some.
thanks, Ronnie
I wish I liked more vegetables. I am very picky.
I wish I had some home grown tomatoes! I keep staring at mine and they are still green!
